Mattis Park

This Champaign park spans 23.8 acres in southeast Champaign. In 1966, Mrs. T.J. Camp, Mrs. H.I. Cone and Mrs. Alan McDonald donated the land. The park has a 1.26 mile trail, called Boulware, which begins behind SURS and ends at Windsor Road.

Mattis park is a good place to relax with its wide open spaces, lake, picnic areas with shelters, and outdoor grills. At Mattis Park fishing is permitted in the pond. The park also features many flower and tree gardens with benches.

Mattis Park has a walking path that runs the length of the lake and is .6 miles long. It was installed in 2007.

The Boulware Trail also runs through Mattis Park.
