Robeson Meadows West Detention Park
This park spans 17 gorgeous acres in southwest Champaign. The land was donated by Robeson Crossing Inc. between 1994 and 1999.
The purpose of a detention park is to hold excess water, especially during floods, so it does not damage residential areas. As a result, it is not advised to play in this park after heavy rain.
A leg of the Robeson Meadows West Trail (2 miles) runs through this park as well.
